European Commission adds dangerous chemicals to POP Regulation (16:55)


On 26 August the European Commission amended the EU Regulation on persistent organic pollutants (POP) to add dangerous chemicals to the list of chemicals that are prohibited or heavily restricted. The amendment is in line with last year's international agreement reached at the 4th Conference of the Parties (COP) to the Stockholm Convention.
