EU10 and the CAP

Ten years ago, on 1 May 2004, the EU enlarged from 15 to 25 Member States (subsequent enlargements bring the EU to 28). The focus of this Brief is on developments in agriculture (meat, fruits, vegetables, potatoes, ...) and the rural economy and the impact of the CAP in the 10 new Member States.
The balance of these ten years of EU membership is clearly positive for agriculture and the agri-food sector in the EU-N101.
