BMA Nederland relaunched as Florigo International BV

Florigo International BV, will continue all major activities of BMA Nederland BV, a Dutch machine manufacturer with strong focus on the potato processing industry. BMA Nederland was declared bankrupt on April 3, 2012.

The following letter was made available for publication in PotatoPro's News by the new management team of Florigo International BV, consisting of Michiel Hendrikse (Managing Director), Rene Verbruggen (Chief Financial Director), John van Duin (Sales Engineer), Nol Besseling (Technical Purchaser) and Kees van Manen (Service Manager):

"After a turbulent period BMA Nederland BV has finalized all activities in March 2012. The last few weeks we (new management and current employees of BMA) have been working on a re-launch of the company under the new name of Florigo International B.V. By attracting external capital our company is to proceed to operate in a leaner form. All our major activities, including various recently awarded projects, are continued unaffectedly and our location remains the same, De Bleek 5 in Woerden."

"We as Florigo International have bought all technology, patents, IP, machines and are starting with a specialized team in the former Factory location of BMA Nederland BV. Florigo has been at the forefront of French fries processing since the 1950s. We supply standalone equipment as well as small capacity semi-automatic lines and complete turnkey processing plants with capacities of up to 25 tons/hour for either standard size or fast food French fries. We provide complete potato specialty processing lines for potato mash, hash browns or pommes duchesse type products, as well as potato flake lines, to ensure the optimum use of the byproducts of French fries production as value-added products. We are also one of the leading manufacturers of production lines for potato chips worldwide."

"With our patented continuous vacuum frying system, Florigo is the only supplier to the snack food industry where vacuum frying is key in the production process. With the industry looking at ways of reducing or limiting the formation of acrylamide in the production process, Florigo can provide one solution. The world's leading snack food manufacturers have been relying on Florigo for this technology since the 1960s."

"Therefore we at Florigo International are proud on our restart. We hope to intensify the relationship between our business associates, suppliers and customers based on mutual respect and determination to supply high quality products and solutions. Please feel free to contact us on any questions you may have."
