Agritechnica 2011 - Kärcher: Equipped to customer’s requirements

Kärcher has launched three new cold water high-pressure cleaners for single-lance operation. As they can be equipped as required with accessories from the extensive range, the ini-tial outlay is limited to what is actually needed. Models HD 7/16 ST, HD 9/18 ST and HD 13/12 ST are available in more than 100 versions and are used in agriculture, the crafts and trades, industry and municipalities.

They operate with a maximum pressure of 180 bar and a water flow rate of up to 1,300 litres/hour.

The many possible configurations allow the unit to be equipped to exactly suit specific requirements. Each basic model is available with a frame made of powder-coated steel – or stainless steel to meet particularly high standards of hygiene. It is advisable to equip the unit for 85°C feed water (ST-H) where it is necessary to remove large quantities of greasy stains. Other available accessories are an automatic pressure relief system, a dry-run cut-out, water softening system, operating hour meter and the op-tion of adding cleaning agent in the high-pressure mode.

A particularly practical option is the remote control for chemical feed: For example, it enables the addition of different cleaning agents to be controlled from the high-pressure take-off points. Thanks to a “Plug & Play” system, all mounting kits can be retrofitted.
The compact main unit is only 42 cm deep so that it can be wall-mounted in locations where space is limited, e.g. in an equipment room protected from dampness, dirt and unauthorized operation. High-pressure cleaning facilities are then quickly available at the take-off points. Long setting-up times are thus eliminated.
Controls are clearly laid out on the front of the units. Indicator lamps pro-vide information on the current operating status, leaks, low water level and the remaining cleaning agent.
