International wheat and oilseed rape professionals compare production skills at DLG Field Days 2010

Cropping strategies from eight European countries will once again be assessed in the renowned DLG Field Days comparisons – this year held in Lower Saxony from 15-17 June 2010. The international crop comparison dates back to the first DLG Field Days held in 1988, starting with oilseed rape with the addition of wheat in 2002. The comparison allows visitors to the DLG Field Days exhibition the opportunity to learn more about arable farming strategies from other countries. The wheat and oilseed rape comparison takes place in the trial plots A 41 (winter wheat) and B 41 (winter oilseed rape) and is supported by the German company Vereinigten Hagelversicherung VVAG (united hail insurance) and the Union for the Promotion of Oil And Protein Plants.
