New opportunities for Fleckvieh in August run

The August index run shows CRV’s progress in breeding efficient cows with great longevity. Wobbler was the most widely used Fleckvieh bull in Germany last year. Mesias, Rolls and Mocca Pp are newcomer bulls for Fleckvieh breeders who want to increase herd health combined with higher production.

Wobbler (Watnox x Mandela, 134 TMI) firmly holds his strong position in the rankings, thanks to his very productive daughters. His breeding value for milk production now amounts to +1,023kg, with a score of +8% for Better Life Efficiency. Wobbler breeds cows with medium sized frames, very good feet and legs (114) and fine udders (108). Scoring +5% for Better Life Health, with great scores for longevity (123), udder health (115) and calving ease (119), Wobblers’ daughters are a pleasure to milk.
A new daughter proven bull is Mesias (Wille x Vanstein, 131 TMI). His daughters produce lots of milk (+893kg) and very positive components with +0.10% fat and +0.06% protein. They are strong cows with excellent udders (119) and good udder health (112). Other strong points are fertility +4% above average and somatic cell count score (113).

Rolls (Walk x Waldbrand, 145 TMI), a son of Walk, is the new leader in the ranking of genomic young bulls, offering great milk production (+1,244kg), very high longevity (129) and excellent efficiency (+12%). Daughters by Rolls will have excellent udders (120) and the perfect persistence (130) that is one of his strengths. He also gives healthy (+6%) cows with great udder health (118).
Mocca Pp (Mahango Pp x Vorum, 136 TMI) is a heterozygote polled bull.

He is a real all-rounder: good milk production (+833kg), positive components (+0.03% fat and +0.06% protein) and great efficiency (+10%). Daughters of Mocca Pp will have very good feet and legs (118) strong udders (114) and good longevity (124). All health traits are above average, so the health trait is +6%.
