Let your tire produce more with less
Smart farming does not stop with tires! Trelleborg announces the launch of ConnecTire – the smart wheel designed to produce more, with less. Intelligently. ConnecTire is a sensor-based smart wheel which enables data sharing at multiple levels, reducing the risk of tire slippage on the rim. It allows farmers to leverage the Internet of Things for safer and more efficient operations.

Automated inflation receives Gold
Being interested in smart technology it´s worth having a look at this one too: the VIP – Variable Inflation Pressure. The VIP TM system is a smart and autonomous complete wheel capable of self-adjusting the pressure of a combine harvester’s tire during operation according to its precise load, optimizing the tire’s footprint in order to reduce soil compaction. Launched just in 2017 the VIP is already recognized as a significant innovation, being honored with a gold medal at the 2017 SIMA Innovation Awards.
