Based on the theme “Say Growth”, Agrico showed at Fruit Logistica that it represents shared growth with its growers, buyers, packaging companies, retailers and consumers, for example through a good harvest and guaranteed results. One way in which Agrico aims to achieve this growth is by providing, in addition to the right varieties, comprehensive support that allows its agents to successfully introduce these varieties. Agrico believes that these fruitful, long-term partnerships make shared future growth possible.
The power to grow also means the power to innovate. Agrico highlighted this at Fruit Logistica using its newest varieties, where special attention was paid to the varieties Ranomi and Loreley. The early, yellow-skinned table variety Ranomi with its smooth, oval shape is particularly popular in Central and East European countries. Loreley, on the other hand, is a medium-early yellow-skinned speciality variety with growth potential due to the fact that it is primarily regarded as the ‘Salat Kartoffel’ for the German market. These varieties are also helping the market share of Agrico varieties to grow in the supermarket.
At the end of the successful first day of the fair Agrico held a cocktail party at her stand for her relations. General director Jan van Hoogen presented the new "Say Growth" theme for the next three year for more than 100 attendees. Based on a mix of these symbolic "partnership ingredients", the guests could then enjoy a variety of surprising cocktails shaken by Manuel Wieser, multiple German flair tender champion.
Agrico-director Jan van Hoogen is satisfied about the presence at the trade fair. ‘Together with our subsidiaries we launched our new marketing theme ”Say growth, say Agrico” with flair. We deliver more than just potatoes. Supported by the right mix of knowledge, product and marketing support local business worldwide achieve beautiful results. And that can only grow.’
