POTATOEUROPE 14 and 15 September 2016 in France

Organised by ARVALIS ‒ Institut du végétal, with support from the potato industry as a whole, the 11th POTATOEUROPE event will take place on 14 and 15 September 2016, in Villers-Saint-Christophe, Aisne, France. The main attraction of this international event will be the dynamic equipment demonstrations, the commercial village and the technical workshops on potato production.

40 hectares of harvesting, dynamic demonstrations, conferences and exhibition areas

Since its creation, the event's reputation has been based on the dynamic demonstrations of potato harvesters and grading lines. This year's event, the third to take place in France, will once again stand out with its dynamic optical sorting demonstrations that are unique in the world. The commercial village is another original attraction that is always a big hit with visitors from every continent. The coming POTATOEUROPE event is also making plans to include 4 technical areas that will present R&D advances: genetic resources and varietal innovations, agronomy, diagnostics and integrated pest management, storage evolutions and solutions. It will also feature conferences, including one on the use of sensors in agriculture. Covering an area of 40 hectares, the exhibition includes a large amount of experts working with over 200 exhibitors who will share their results and discuss their experiences with visitors.

Growing international dimension

During the 2012 French event, almost 40% of the 10,000 visitors were international, coming from more of 50 different countries. This is a testimony of the event's maturity, with visitors sure of being able to meet the major players in European agricultural machinery, supplies and trade for the potato sector.
PotatoEurope in the digital age

The www.potatoeurope.com website has just been launched. The event's Twitter (@PotatoEurope) and Facebook accounts will allow people to track preparations for the event and to interact with the global potato community.
