Rotary cultivator with 400 mm potato tines
For seedbed preparation prior to potato planting, Amazone will demonstrate the KG rotary cultivator equipped specifically with extra-long potato tines. These 400 mm tines are almost 20 % longer than the standard tines and offer the added possibility to creating a deep, fine crumb seedbed. The second advantage is that the deeper soil tillage makes it possible to break up any existing plough pan.

UX 6200 Super crop protection sprayer
The UX series includes seven different models with tank capacities from 3,200 to 11,200 litres and are available with Super-L or Super-S booms in working widths from 15 to 40 metres. For potato growers these sprayers are especially interesting because they can be equipped with axle steering. With this steering function, fewer potatoes are damaged on the headland and the entire spraying system, especially the boom, is put under less strain. Compared with drawbar steering, axle steering ensures an absolutely true track following without jerky steering movements which might be transferred to the boom. For long farm-field distances, the optional rear hitch drawbar for the UX models is also of interest. In this way, just as a one-man operation, a water tanker (trailer load max. 12 t) for field edge filling can be transported behind.
Pantera 4502 crop protection self-propelled sprayer
The Pantera 4502 self-propelled sprayer is the flagship of the Amazone sprayer programme. It features a tandem chassis with fill-level controlled, hydro-pneumatic suspension, an in-cab controlled infinitely variable track width adjustment from 1.80 to 2.40 m, a high ground clearance of up to 1.20 m and a variable steering system with front wheel, all wheel and dog leg steer operation. As an option, it can be equipped with an automatic steering system. With this machine, the 4,500 litre spray agent tank and the four-fold dampened Super-L boom in working widths of 24 to 40 m provide the best pre-conditions for maximum acreage outputs.
ZA-TS fertiliser spreader
With the ZA-TS, Amazone will show at Potato 2014 a high-tech spreader which opens new dimensions in precision, efficiency and operational comfort. At the heart of the machine is the new TS spreading system enabling the spreading of mineral fertiliser in working widths from 18 to 54 m. The most important innovations also include a deep-pressed main hopper without corners, edges and welding seams as well as the disc integrated "AutoTS" border spreading device, which can be actuated via the operator terminal in the tractor cab. Thanks to the modular design, with its hopper volumes of between 1,700 and 4,200 litres, a suitably sized ZA-TS spreader size is available to match any farm or agricultural contracting business. |
