Agritechnica 2013 - Manitou group: Reduced consumption and renewed range
From 10 to 16 November 2013, the Manitou group is taking part in the international exhibition on agricultural machinery, Agritechnica.
With 33% of its turnover in 2012, Manitou is making particular investments in agriculture, a strategic and demanding market.

"As capital assets that are essential in agriculture, our machines contribute to the efficiency and profitability of farms. Working cycles and usage intensity determine the manufacture of our machines, from design to delivery", says Dominique Bamas, Chief Executive of the Manitou group. "Among other things, it means seeking the best components to ensure high performance and controlled consumption for each of our models. This is the spirit in which we have initiated the REDUCE process, providing our users with reliable, clear and transparent information on the consumption of their Manitou models."
Manitou is the first manufacturer to present its "Fuel Eco-program", Reduce. With the aid of an online calculator, each user can assess the consumption of a new machine compared to an old model or a competitor model. Consumption can be reduced by up to 20% for the same application.
The protocol and the results obtained were validated and certified by an external organization. This commitment to transparency naturally forms part of the Manitou group's CSR approach.
Amongst the machines on display at Agritechnica 2013, Manitou presents:
- its 6/7 meter range, entirely renewed and fitted with a Deutz engine, meeting €III B / Interim Tier IV standards,
- the MLT 1040, 10 meters/4 tonnes, focuses on performance, comfort and productivity, following on from the MLT 840,
- a preview of the MLT 960, 9 meters/6 tonnes, a high-tonnage telescopic truck adapted for applications concerning the environment or on large farms.
Choosing the right attachment for the right purpose also contributes directly to optimizing the material handling solutions from the Manitou, Gehl or Mustang brands. This is why the group is offering a new range of Manitou approved attachments for the agricultural market.
Personalized support and the maintenance of the machine by an expert from the dealer network solves the equation to make the acquisition and use of a truck of the Manitou, Gehl or Mustang brand a genuinely profitable investment for the farmer.
