Agricultural machinery innovations at Agritechnica 2013
The general technical and social challenges in the coming years, such as the turnaround in energy policy, electromobility and networked production, also termed Industry 4.0, are predominantly driven by technology.
When mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and information technology join forces with the goal of steering development and production via the internet, we speak of Industry 4.0, the fourth industrial revolution after mechanization with hydro and steam power, mass production with the help of electric power, and the digital industrial revolution. This development in industry can also be observed by analogy in agricultural production.
