JORION S.A. and PHILIP-SEEDS NV combine their activities


The shareholders of PHILIP-SEEDS NV and JORION S.A. have agreed to combine their respective activities in marketing and production of main crop seeds.

Philip-Seeds NV was created in 1994 and has its headquarters in Kerkhove. Being a leader in the seed market, Philip-Seeds NV has a strong position in grasses and maize, especially in the Flanders

Founded in 1902, Jorion S.A. has an important position in the cereals seeds market, particularly in the Walloon region and has a state-of-the-art factory ideally located nearby the motorway E429 (exit 31 Hacquegnies / Frasnes-Lez-Anvaing).

The pooling of expertise and resources of both companies, supported by a team of skilled and dedicated employees will create a leader in its market. Together we will have a sales team closer to its customers, a R&D department focusing on the specificities of the Belgian market and a factory equipped with the latest technologies. Based on a strong culture of family business, the partnership will focus on favoring the realization of long-term goals.

The general management of both companies will be in the hands of Philippe Matton (Managing Director Philip-Seeds NV) and Jean-Paul Jorion (Managing Director Jorion S.A.)
In the new structure, Marie Ducourouble Ballet will be in charge of the R&D department, Willy Geiregat will lead, from June 1st, production and logistics while Joris Vanmeirhaeghe will be the sales director.

The family Shareholders of both companies, strongly rooted in the Belgian agricultural landscape, are convinced that intensive collaboration will be beneficial for all partners, by strengthening their means of action and ensuring the continuity of each.
