Lely Aebi: the new line of compact front mowers for Aebi Terratrac tractors

Lely introduces the Lely Aebi 260 FA and Lely Aebi 300 FS front mowers with modified pendular headstock to fit Aebi Terratrac tractors. Because of their compact build, low centre of gravity and modest power requirements, these disc mowers – with working widths from 2.60 to 3.00 m respectively – are ideally suited to alpine regions.

The pendular headstock was specifically designed for Aebi and it ensures sufficient room for manoeuvre, both in a horizontal and vertical direction. This, combined with the adjustable pressure of the Terratrac hydraulic lift, ensures that it perfectly follows the ground contours and avoids damage to the turf.

To ensure quick depositing of the swaths, the mower features the modular Splendimo cutter bar in a configuration of 6 or 7 mowing discs that rotate inwards. This sense of rotation plus the two 120 mm mower knives guarantee an optimum mowing pattern even under the most extreme conditions.

The drums on the two outer mowing discs enable the Lely Aebi 260 to produce particularly narrow swaths. Additional swath guides and discs are available for the Lely Aebi 300 so that this model – without driven swath makers – can deposit very narrow swaths as well.

Following intensive cooperation between Lely and Aebi (a Swiss manufacturer of communal and agricultural machines) the Lely Aebi mowers meet all demands imposed by the specific conditions in alpine regions. These front mowers will be supplied exclusively to Aebi and will be available through Aebi dealers as from the new season.
