2013 edition: Medfel steps up dialogue and trade
Organised by Sud de France Développement and the Languedoc-Roussillon Regional Council, the 2013 Medfel event shines the spotlight on citrus fruits and celebrates Egypt as its featured country. For this fifth edition, orange will be the signature colour. This international trade fair for professionals working in the Euro-Mediterranean fruit and vegetable, transport and logistics sectors will be held in Perpignan on 22 - 24 April 2013 at the Parc des Expositions (Exhibition centre).

Medfel helps to drive trade between the various stakeholders in the Euro-Mediterranean fruit and vegetable sector. In 2012, a total of 3,418 B2B meetings were arranged between buyers and business owners from across the globe (35 countries) at this 'people-sized' trade fair.
These B2B appointments were converted into tangible orders for the 300 exhibitors and 4,321 international buyers who attended the 2012 event. Sud de France Développement offers support at Medfel to producers, distributors and shippers (including small businesses) from the Languedoc-Roussillon region as they prospect for new export opportunities.
Medfel 2013: boosting dialogue between Mediterranean countries
Medfel consolidates Euro-Mediterranean partnerships built around fruit and vegetables in a sector that is of crucial importance for the agriculture and economy of Mediterranean countries. Debates and presentations, broadcast live at the fair via TV stage sets, enhance knowledge of the Euro-Mediterranean fruit and vegetable sectors through a variety of topical issues.
Medfel innovation: it will never catch on!
This is a new feature for the 2013 edition: marketing, agronomy and consumer behaviour experts will analyse and interpret innovations in the fruit and vegetable industry with their various stakeholders to identify what works and what doesn’t.
Medfel communications: you can't put a price on it!
Seeking to publicly recognise Euro-Mediterranean professionals working in the fruit & vegetable, transport and logistics sectors, Medfel is organising a contest to select the best promotional campaign. The aim of this second edition of the contest is to showcase the talent and inventiveness of sector professionals by rewarding their efforts to demonstrate imagination, creativity and innovation.
The Medfel best promotional campaign contest seeks to select and reward the best communication strategies, in four different categories: 1) best sponsorship and patronage, 2) best packaging, 3) best POS advertising, 4) best media communications.
