Copa-Cogeca regrets failure of UN Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice (SBSTA)


At the United Nations Climate change Conference (the COP18) in Doha, which ended Friday, Copa-Cogeca highlighted the increasing role climate change plays in farmers’, forest producers’ and agri-cooperatives’ management decisions and on their economic viability.
Food security can no longer be taken for granted. Sustaining and enhancing food production, which can happen at the same time as tackling climate change and cutting greenhouse gas emissions, must consequently be a policy priority for all governments.
