Member states moving in right direction on future budget 2014-2020, but not far enough


Member States talks at the EU Summit are moving in the right direction on the future Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) budget 2014-20. This is an improvement on the proposal of the President of the European Council on the future EU budget 2014-20, which saw unacceptable cuts in farm spending, threatening food security and employment in EU rural areas. But it does not go far enough.
