Copa-Cogeca releases new EU-27 cereal estimates and calls for increased flexibility under new CAP


Copa-Cogeca released new EU-27 cereals estimates for the 2012/13 marketing year today, claiming EU production is expected to drop slightly by 1.4%, compared to last year, despite a slight increase in area. In view of the severe weather conditions, farmers had to re-sow over 1.5 million hectares but were restricted by a lack of commercialised seed.
