CAP simplification: Study shows limited red tape in the EU Rural Development measures


The burden of red tape on farmers associated with rural development is below 5% of the total public expenditure for the measures, according to a new report. The report also presents a number of good practices and shows that e-government solutions, the streamlining of procedures and the use of less burdensome reimbursement approaches can reduce the level of red tape on farmers even further.
