Bioenergy remains in focus at Agritechnica 2011

Cultivating biomass for energy production is a growing field of agriculture. In Germany every fourth hectare of maize is used to produce biogas. Farmers are concentrating on new varieties, as well as on suitable machinery and equipment for cultivating and harvesting and for producing biogas.

At Agritechnica interested farmers will be able to gather information about all aspects of this business sector. A comprehensive programme will be found primarily in Halls 20 and 21. Here visitors can collect information about energy potentials as well as about biomass production and conditioning, plant machinery and equipment, labour management and cost effectiveness.
