EESC calls for more clarity on the future CAP's goals, tools and funding
A continuation of support to farmers is crucial if society is to enjoy food security and environmental protection, but subsidies should only be paid to active farmers, the European Economic and Social Committee affirmed in its hotly debated opinion on the future of the Common Agriculture Policy (CAP), adopted at the plenary session yesterday.
