125 years of agricultural progress


This year marks DLG’s 125th anniversary. On 11 December 1885, engineer Max Eyth, founded DLG in Berlin together with a group of dedicated agricultural entrepreneurs and scientists. The vision they had was that of an organization that would focus on applying practical scientific and economic information as well as technical innovations and organizational know-how in agriculture, not just within Germany but across borders.
