GMOs: Commissioner Dalli receives a petition from Greenpeace and Avaaz

This morning, John Dalli, Commissioner for Health and Consumer Policy, met representatives from two NGOs – Greenpeace and Avaaz – who handed him a petition signed by over 1 million European citizens calling upon the European Commission to "put a moratorium on the introduction of GM crops into Europe and set up an independent, ethical, scientific body to research the impact of GM crops and determine regulation".
