"Advocating for Agriculture Awards": program extended


Deadline is November 5 for nominations -- Online voting by Ag community starts November 22

AG CONNECT Expo 2011 is now accepting nominations for its "Advocating for Agriculture Awards" through November 5, 2010. The three finalists in each category will receive a Flip Ultra HD Video Camcorder. Grand prize winners get a free trip to AG CONNECT Expo 2011, to be held in January in Atlanta, Georgia.

Online voting by the Ag community to help select the "Advocating for Agriculture Awards" winners will then get underway November 22 and run through December 9. The "Advocating for Agriculture Awards" recognize those who support "in a compelling way the work of farmers and ranchers to provide abundant and affordable food and fiber." There will be a Grand Prize in three program categories - Woman of the Year, Community Leadership, and Next Generation of Ag.

AG CONNECT Expo 2011 will be held January 8-10, 2011 (Preview Day January 7 by special admission) at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia.

The grand prize winner in each of the three award categories will receive a free trip to AG CONNECT Expo 2011, including round-trip airfare for two to Atlanta, Georgia, from anywhere in the continental U.S. Grand prize winners will be announced December 10, 2010.

Those who follow AG CONNECT Expo on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn or YouTube know that AG CONNECT Expo is a gathering place for those who advocate for and support production agriculture.

AG CONNECT Expo is run for and by the industry, with direction from industry companies and associations. This management philosophy puts manufacturer and customer needs first and earmarks show revenues to advance industry causes. The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) owns and produces AG CONNECT Expo 2011.
