Bioenergy for Benelux - 6 October 2010

Bioenergy production continues to thrive in Europe, with the agriculture sector poised to take advantage of this development. Besides offering an alternative energy source in line with sustainable development initiatives, bioenergy also benefits regions where electricity costs are high and contributes substantially to farming income through the use of agricultural output and waste.

Tapping on the potential of the bioenergy sector in the Benelux region, DLG Benelux will host its first bioenergy event, Biogas Experience on 6 October in the Netherlands. The programme for this debut seminar includes technical as well as legislative and financing issues of biogas production in the Netherlands and Germany. German experts will share their experiences from over 10 years of biogas technology development.

Participants will also be treated to a preview of BioEnergy Decentral, to take place parallel to EuroTier this November. BioEnergy Decentral is one of the biggest exhibition for bioenergy  and decentralized energy supply in Europe with over 500 exhibitors expected this year at the Hanover Exhibition grounds.
