Commission steps up biomass use – nearly € 80 million for biorefinery research


A major European Commission research initiative to improve and increase the sustainable use of biomass has started today. Researchers and industry will work together to develop new ways to convert biological feedstock into energy and other valuable resources, using biorefinery technology.
