BioEnergy Decentral exhibition bound for success

300 exhibitors book stands already – Global forum for decentral energy supply – In Hanover from 16 to 19 November 2010

The BioEnergy Decentral exhibition is bound for success. This is evident already from the level of stand bookings to date. As the organiser DLG (Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft – German Agricultural Society) reports, 300 leading companies from Germany and the rest of the world have booked space already, some nine months before the start of the exhibition.

Responsible project manager Sabine Behre explains that they will be presenting a comprehensive programme covering the full range of technological developments in the fields of bioenergy, renewable energy and engineering, addressing all aspects of decentral energy supply. As a global forum for decentral energy supply, BioEnergy Decentral brings the various segments and partners in this newly establishing market together.

According to Behre, processes for using renewable energies with the focus on bioenergy as well as for using fossil energy sources will be on show. The exhibition will be held at the Exhibition Grounds in Hanover from 16 to 19 November 2010. DLG is organizing it in close cooperation with the association of power plant builders (VDMA Power Systems) and the association of local public utilities (VKU).

Marketplace for decentral energy supply

As the world’s meeting place for decentral energy supply, BioEnergy Decentral brings together the various segments and market actors in this young industry. The renewable energies – and here in particular bioenergy – are set to play an ever greater role in the intelligent mix of available energy resources.

The power industry, agriculture and forestry, municipalities and industrial companies as well as plant builders are ideal partners in these business models. Public utilities are increasingly seeking partners in rural areas to generate and keep added value locally. Synergies resulting from the core competences of the partners can be exploited in this connection.

Forms of cooperation ranging from supplying raw materials to operating biomass plants are conceivable here. This arouses substantial interest on the part of farmers and forest managers. For instance many farm-based operators of biogas plants seek cooperation with municipal utilities. With its excellent programme, BioEnergy Decentral will provide a unique marketplace for information covering all kinds of bioenergy partnerships. The exhibits will be rounded off by an impartial advisory centre and a diverse technical programme addressing current topics. Specials (shows within the show) concentrated in areas within the halls will explore the latest developments in focal areas and provide insights into processes and procedures through hands-on demonstrations. The programme will be rounded off by excursions to decentral supply facilities and bioenergy installations in the surroundings of Hanover.
