Syngenta to acquire Emergent Genetics Vegetable A/S in Denmark

Emergent Genetics Vegetable A/S announced today an agreement for acquisition by Syngenta. EGV is currently owned by International Seed Holdings L.P. The Company is a well-known Vegetable seed company specialized in breeding and marketing of selected vegetable crops. EGV focuses primarily on spinach, cucumber, cabbage, cauliflower and herbs. It markets its products under three well-known historical brands �Daehnfeldt�, �Ohlsens Enke� and �Hurst� in Europe, North America and also in Africa, India and China. Sam Dryden, board member of International Seed Holdings and EGV commented: �We are pleased to have found in Syngenta a global company with strong roots in seeds and strength in genomics that can build on the long vegetable seeds history of Daehnfeldt.
