Anti-Fur Activists Protest Against Chinese Cruelty Against Cats and Dogs

(Sing Tao Daily) -- As the Lunar New Year ushered in Year of the Dog, anti-fur activists were protesting in front of the Chinese consulate.

Anti-fur activists protested against what they say is Chinese cruelty against cats and dogs, reports the Chinese-language Sing Tao Daily. Protesters showed pictures of cats and dogs being skinned for fur.

The protesters said that they have proof that the animals were bludgeoned, boiled to death, or skinned alive. A similar video has been posted on the People for Ethical Treatment of Animals (Peta) website, www.peta.org.
