Wild helps manufacturers enter new arena: Cosmeceuticals

Wild Flavors, Inc. helps conventional food and beverage manufacturers move into a new arena Cosmeceuticals.
According to the company, cosmeceticals are products containing nutraceutical ingredients that provide direct anti-aging or other appearance-enhancing benefits.

This can include items that are topically applied (creams, gels, etc.) and ingestible products (food, beverages, and supplements).

The copany has formulated solutions for the food and beverage industry to include flavors, colors, and ingredients for cosmeceutical products for personal appearance and anti-aging while still incorporating conventional requirements of great taste, convenience and nutrition.

With the growing consumer awareness that food and beverage consumption is strongly related to external appearance, there is anticipated forecasted growth for cosmeceuticals. This is also causing a greater demand for functional ingredients including antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, polyphenols, and other natural ingredients.
The company understands the technical challenges that may also surface as a developer begins to incorporate these ingredients into a cosmeceutical concept. WILDs application teams have worked closely with the chemists to review and provide solutions for challenges such as solubility by creating emulsions, working with packaging to determine various sensitivities, and developing processing recommendations to resolve stability and ingredient interaction issues.
