EU � Russia Summit � Samara, Russia, 17-18 May 2007


Commission President José Manuel Barroso and President of the European Council, Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel, will meet Russian President Vladimir Putin for the EU-Russia Summit in Volzhsky Utyos, Samara region of Russia, on 17-18 May 2007. Commissioner for External Relations, Benita Ferrero-Waldner, Presidency Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Russian Government Ministers including Sergei Lavrov, Minister of Foreign Affairs, will also attend. The main topics on the agenda will be the current state of EU-Russia relations and a number of topical international issues such as Kosovo, the Middle East and Iran.
