Consortium for the re-authorization of Urea and its derivatives as feed additives


One consortium to support the industry in obtaining EU authorization for Urea and its derivatives existing under the Feed Additives Regulation (EC) N°1831/2003 was planned to be established by the EU Feed Additives and Premixtures Association (FEFANA). Today, co-ordinated efforts of those who produce or use Urea and its derivatives of category Nutritional additives (i.e. Urea, technically pure/Biuret, technically pure/Urea-phosphate, technically pure/Diureidoisobutane, technically pure) as feed additives in animal nutrition are urgently needed in order to secure their authorization on the EU market and also maintain an appropriate diversity of sources.
